As tempting as it is to skip your Suhoor meal in order to have your sleep uninterrupted, we all need the energy and extra nutrition in order to continue fasting throughout the day. This is why its so important to actually have a healthy meal, instead of the previous night’s leftovers.
All these recipes can be made in 10 minutes or less and are guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds. Make sure to have a piece of fruit and lots of water to accompany these meals in order to have a successful day of fasting.
- Banana and peanut butter smoothie
This is a smoothie that is not only delicious, but that is actually good for you as well. It contains calcium, potassium, fiber and protein ensuring that you get your daily dose of goodness as you are fasting.
- Brown sugar toast
This might not be the healthiest option for Suhoor but we haven’t been able to stop thinking about this recipe ever since we came across it. You can adjust the ratios as you’d like, or even substitute the brown sugar for honey. You could even experiment and try adding different fillings to make a sandwich!
- Tuna and cheese omelette
A delicious hearty breakfast that is full of protein, meaning that you will feel fuller for longer. Try this recipe alone or with some whole wheat toast.
- Oatmeal with dates
You can’t go wrong with a nice, warm comforting bowl of oatmeal in the morning. This recipe calls for the addition of dates which are proven to be beneficial in regulating your blood sugar balance.
- Savoury pancakes
This Turkish dish is full of flavour and is incredibly easy to make. You can have these fluffy pancakes by themselves, or have them with a simple salad.
