On the 16th of June, a capsule collection titled “Walk A Mile In My Shoes” will be launched by the luxury brand Christian Louboutin together with Sabrina Dhowre Elba and Idris Elba.
The collection is meant to support and bring awareness to a number of charitable causes around the globe, among them a Somali organization called The Somali Hope Foundation which is an organization that is dedicated to providing access to free, quality, and equitable education to youth in rural Somalia.
Some of the other organizations that will receive support from the collaboration are Immediate Theatre, an organization that supports the youth through the arts in the United Kingdom; Purposeful, a feminist movement-building hub for adolescent girls in Sierra Leone; Be Rose International, which provides humanitarian relief for people in need of emergency assistance; and, Gathering for Justice, which is an organization in the United States which aims to train the youth on how to become community leaders.
The capsule collection will include both mens and womenswear and several handbags. Prices for the pieces will range between £675 to £3,275, and 100% of the profits will go to the mentioned charities.
