5 Easy Ways That You Can Take Care Of Yourself In Self-Isolation

If you are currently self-isolating and/or social-distancing, this is the list for you. Here are five easy things that you can do in order to make the most of your time at home.

1) Make a daily schedule for yourself

It is incredibly easy to get distracted when working from home if you don’t have a proper schedule to follow. Identify your goals on a daily basis and work towards realizing them in a realistic time frame. Being at home doesn’t mean that you can’t get any work done, you just have to be disciplined enough to do it. Make sure to customize your schedule to your personal needs and stay focused!

2) Open up your windows

This might sound simple enough, but it’s so easy to ignore your surroundings when working from home, especially if you share your living space with other people. Your surroundings directly stimulate your mood, which means that your surroundings could have an effect on not just your output but also how you even approach your task. Having increased ventilation in your home will help improve your concentration, which will result in more clarity and focus.

3) Rediscover an old hobby

When you’re not working, take the time to do the things that you have been too busy to do. Rediscover your love for that beautiful foreign language, the art of painting, or photography. If not now, when?

4) Make or order your favourite dish

Listen, it’s treat yo’ self season. Warm your soul with the food that makes you the happiest.

5) Indulge in your favourite form of entertainment

Take the time to truly enjoy that series that you have been wanting to start watching or start discovering new music. With so many platforms that provide entertainment, finding something exciting and entertaining will be very easy.

What are some of your favourite ways of self-care during these trying times?
